Overrun and accelaration forces are virtually all reacted on this torque link in the Fiesta IV and Puma. For “normal” driving the standard torque link gives a good compromise between controlling engine movement and isolating noise and vibration. With a tuned engine and/or “hard” driving the engine movement will lead to difficult gearchanges, jerky take off and at each gearchange, increased fatigue of exhaust system and other ancilliaries.In worse cases the engine unit will hit strut braces or other equipment in the engine bay. By using the Vibra-Technics FOR145M you will generally eliminate all these problems and give the car a ‘tighter’ feel.
